The McCreesh kickoff fundraiser skate jam was a success, with lots of kids in attendance, and over $1,000 raised for the skatepark. Jesse Clayton and crew worked hard on building some temporary ramps for the local kids to skate until the new park is built. We skated with everyone on Saturday [...] I know none of us need a designated day for going skating, but maybe we need a day dedicated to launch ramp sessions. Ready to rumble. • Lathrop Photo Pat Guidotti going backside over the hip while Virgin Mary, the house ref, looks on through her protective Jason mask • Lathrop Photo Phil Jackson answers back by smacking a frontside disaster in the pocket…hard • Lathrop Photo Guidotti returns…frontside air into the same pocket • Zoli Photo Scott goes for the [...] When I was in high school, I frequented a skatepark in Pennsylvania called “Cheapskates.” I loved that park because under its roof you could witness some of the world’s best skateboarding any time of the year (Team Steam, Shut team, SEAN MILLER, the Lopez brothers, the Sigafoos twins, and the list goes on)…especially [...] Things I like – Transition. Tight transition. Street skating that involves transition. Mercyful Fate. Travis was digging around in his video archives and stumbled upon some footage we shot on the Autumn ramp a while back. This is some pure bro cam footage here, shot by the guys who are skating – me, Anthony, and Travis. I remember this session pretty well because it was a really awesome day. [...] |
