Summer is just about here and James has been out skating and destroying. Here’s a small taste of what he’s up to lately. There’s more but I can’t show you because, well, just because. All in due time, friends. In addition to that you’ll be able to see some assorted other shorts produced by Buddy Nichols, Rick Charnoski and their Six Stair Productions. They’ll be a live performance by Flying Sutra as well. [...] I’ve been meaning to post this one from Philthy for too long now. I keep forgetting about it, but since I just got a text from Phil, I’m putting it up right away before I forget again and May becomes June. I actually got this from Phil in the beginning of April, [...] Just received a couple more rad photos from Mike’s Pink Motel mission. Enjoy. photos by Joey Cobbs I have to take a second to say that as long time fans of his music, Patrick and I were both beyond stoked to see pictures of Walter Schreifels repping a Totally “Hendrix” shirt at his show in Philly last weekend! Pretty sure the man who brought you Quicksand, Moondog, Rival Schools, Gorilla Biscuits [...] I’m not going to say too much here, I’ll let Mike’s words make up the bulk of this post. Basically, Mike was extended an invitation to skate the legendary Pink Motel pool in LA for a one-day event. Now, if you’re a younger skater who has never seen Powell’s “The Search [...] James is so good at front blunts that he can take both feet off the board midway through the trick (see 8th frame) and still stick it clean. |
