Broken Bell by Joe Minuto Franklin’s Paine Skatepark Fund (FPSF) will hold a fundraising event on Saturday, March 27th from 5-8pm at North Bowl Lounge n Lanes, located at 909 N. Second Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123. The event will be 21+ and a $25 door donation will be asked. The event will include bowling, food and drink specials, [...] Well, it’s Friday and in case you were looking for a valid excuse to bail out of work early, here’s a couple suggestions. Penn Skate is hosting The Lost Soul Skates Demo/ Contest over in Allentown. And for you kids in the Philly area, Exit Skate Shop will be the venue for ‘The Concrete Art [...] Some time not long ago, it became acceptable to call shove-its “varials,” when in fact a varial is done by grabbing your board and spinning it by hand. I just can’t seem to get on board with varials and shove-its being labeled the same. My 80’s sensibilities just won’t allow it. When I was in high school, I frequented a skatepark in Pennsylvania called “Cheapskates.” I loved that park because under its roof you could witness some of the world’s best skateboarding any time of the year (Team Steam, Shut team, SEAN MILLER, the Lopez brothers, the Sigafoos twins, and the list goes on)…especially [...] |
