James was ripping all day, consistently hitting all of his tricks and doing it in heat wave temperatures. Not to mention, broken board in pre-qualifiers, cracked deck in the qualifiers, and skated the cracked deck in the final jam to take 3rd place. It was sick. And after all that shredding and sweating, [...] James took a trip up to New England last weekend to hit up Subliminal in MA, and Haven in CT. From what I hear, James was throwing down trick after trick after trick. I’m not surprised at all. This video doesn’t show everything, but you’ll get the idea. filmed by Chuck Farina [...] I have to take a second to say that as long time fans of his music, Patrick and I were both beyond stoked to see pictures of Walter Schreifels repping a Totally “Hendrix” shirt at his show in Philly last weekend! Pretty sure the man who brought you Quicksand, Moondog, Rival Schools, Gorilla Biscuits [...] When I was in high school, I frequented a skatepark in Pennsylvania called “Cheapskates.” I loved that park because under its roof you could witness some of the world’s best skateboarding any time of the year (Team Steam, Shut team, SEAN MILLER, the Lopez brothers, the Sigafoos twins, and the list goes on)…especially [...] Things I like – Transition. Tight transition. Street skating that involves transition. Mercyful Fate. Yeah, like the title of the post suggests, Totally teamrider Kurt Kamrad got broke…Kurt busted his collarbone and had to have a metal rod put in it. Hopefully he’ll be back skating again soon. While we’ve been getting hammered by snowfall over this last couple of weeks, I’ve heard a lot of people making all the common complaints – “I’m sick and tired of shoveling,” “my back is killing me,” “they plowed me in again,” “the neighbor’s kids are idiots,” etc. etc. Well, while most people are [...] Mike checks in from Oregon with a rad video to keep us stoked through the harsh winter everyone seems to be having this year. I’ve got this old footage around that I’ve never used for anything, so I figured I would post it up here, especially because it has some Asbury Pool footage mixed in (I really miss that pool). Travis was digging around in his video archives and stumbled upon some footage we shot on the Autumn ramp a while back. This is some pure bro cam footage here, shot by the guys who are skating – me, Anthony, and Travis. I remember this session pretty well because it was a really awesome day. [...] |
